Young Entrepreneurs Program

Funded by Create and Thrive
Implemented by Olu Productions’ It’s Never 2 Early 2 Create & Innovate

The Young Entrepreneurs Program (YEP) is a business accelerator for youth ages 12–17 who are ready to turn their ideas into thriving ventures. Funded by Create and Thrive and implemented by Olu Productions’ It’s Never 2 Early 2 Create & Innovate (N2E), YEP combines business training, mentorship, and real-world experience with the resources youth need to succeed.

Over the course of 10 weeks (April–June), participants work alongside experienced coaches, guest speakers, and peers to:

  • Develop and refine a business idea

  • Create a product or service prototype

  • Build a full branding kit (logo, business name, tagline, colors)

  • Gain skills in marketing, market research, and financial literacy

  • Prepare for and participate in a final business showcase

Workshops are a mix of in-person events at community spaces like Langston Hughes Cultural Arts Center and the N2E Plaza, and virtual sessions led by expert facilitators. Participants also receive one-on-one business coaching to guide their progress.

What Participants Leave With

By the end of the program, each young entrepreneur will have:

  • A vision board and written business goals

  • A business description and product photos

  • A branding kit with logo, colors, and business card design

  • A table display for events

  • A plan for business licensing and tools like a Square Terminal

Our Goal

We believe entrepreneurship is a pathway to freedom, creativity, and community power. Through YEP, youth not only launch businesses—they gain confidence, leadership skills, and a vision for their future that they can start building today.
